Illegal aliens often do not enter the country through facilities where they may be screened for dangerous infectious diseases, and have re-introduced several diseases into the country which have previously been virtually eradicated. Although the incidence of Chagas, Leprosy, disease-resistant tuberculosis and other infections are rare in the illegal alien population, they are still much higher than the rate of these diseases in native-born or legal immigrant populations. In Prince William County, the rate of tuberculosis increased 188% in 2005, and illegal aliens were the reason. If unlicensed or improperly licensed pushcart vendors are illegal aliens, and there's a strong suspicion that some of them are, there is a substantial public health and safety issue which requires immediate action on the part of government officials.
